Maureen Esisi, the estranged wife of Blossom Chukwujekwu, a prominent Nollywood actor, has publicly expressed her regret for marrying him, describing their five-year marriage as “wasted years” and lamenting the opportunity cost of not having children with someone else.
On the podcast “The House Chronicles”, the fashion designer reflected on their marriage, characterizing the past five years as a period of wasted years.
Esisi expressed regret, saying that if she had married someone else, she would likely have two children by now.
“I regret marrying him [Blossom Chukwujekwu]. It was wasted years. Five years of my life, that’s a lot. I would have married somebody else and probably had two kids by now,” she said.
“I wished I had kids. Because trying to have kids now is just scary and annoying. I’m currently working on having kids. I don’t know how it’s going to happen but I must get pregnant this year.”
Remember that Chukwujekwu tied the knot with Pastor Ehinome at Christ Embassy in June 2022, marking a new chapter in his life three years after his previous marriage to Maureen Esisi came to an end.
Esisi insisted that the actor was the one who “walked away,” stressing that for her “divorce wasn’t an option”.
Esisi clarified that her marriage to Chukwujekwu was not formally dissolved, as she never signed the necessary legal papers.
